Who does not love to rush down the white blankets of snow down a hill. Well if you love snow, winter and adventure, it is no surprise you would love Skiing and Snowboarding. Forget countries like Switzerland, there is plenty to do in here.

Aru, Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir:

One of the places to experience the true essence of Jammu and Kashmir, Aru is a small town near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the most prime places in the country for skiing. Naturally it makes it a huge tourist attraction, which has guides, ski resorts and other amenities in plenty.

Auli, Uttarakhand:

Considered ‘heaven’ for ski lovers, Auli in Uttarakhand has a 500 m ski lift which also happens to be the longest cable car line in Asia. The State Govt Agency of Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited (GMVNL) takes care of the ski resorts. The slopes welcome both novices and professional Skiers.

Solang Nala, Himachal Pradesh:

Solang Nala is a high altitude valley that lies near Kullu. It also offers both government run and private Ski agencies for amateur winter adventurers. It has plenty of slope to ski with a slope of 500 m from the base station. There is also availability of snow mobiles by some agencies.
