ECE is the latest super paying branch of engineering. Being a mix of hardware and software, it is attracting many companies offering fat and lucrative packages. In this post, I will discuss some of the most sought-after companies in this gold-mine branch of engineering.

  • Texas Instruments


TI, a major player in the chip-manufacturing industry, is one of the best companies to offer very good paying jobs to ETE/ECE students. TI provides a very good opportunity to build your circuit designing skills and thus it is very advantageous to a fresher.

Requirements – They look for a candidate having a crystal clear concept of working with simple electronics and electrical elements and circuits. RC circuits are their favorites while interviewing the candidates.

  • Samsung R&D

Samsung is one of the biggest companies in consumer-electronics sector. Its smartphones, televisions, washing machines, air-conditioners etc are greatly demanded all over the world. Samsung has an R&D center in Bangalore where they work on cutting-edge technologies and provide innovation to the industry.

Requirements – You must have a good hold on ‘digital circuits and designs’ subject. Along with this, you should be able to solve simple network theory questions and you must possess a good knowledge of CMOS.

These are public sector companies that either take applications based on GATE score and interview or hold their own exams and interviews. PSUs such as BHEL, NALCO, HPCL, BEL, ONGC etc offer many job opportunities to electronics students.

Requirements- A good score in GATE along with good basic concepts will easily provide you a job in any of the PSUs.

Apart from these, there are numerous companies providing good packages and good profiles to a graduate ETE/ECE engineer. Vodafone, Aircel, Motorola, LG, Philips electronics, Reliance, Dell technologies, are some of the examples.
